Friday 26. 09. 14 I managed to another spread today.

 

Friday 26. 09. 14 I have started work on a journal of my operation. Above is the cover, the endpapers and the first spread.

Wednesday 24. 09. 14 I went with Jason to an interesting expo last Saturday at the Distillery. It was a travelling library of sketchbooks collected by the Brooklyn Museum. You can buy a sketchbook from them for $25, fill it and then send it back to be added to the collection. Readers can either access the books at the library itself or from one of their travelling libraries. Alternatively you can pay $60 and the library will digitalize your book so that is available electronically. Anyhow as a result of looking at a number of these sketchbooks I have decided to do a visual journal of my recent operation – watch this space.

 

Friday 12. 09. 14 One of the problems with travelling is that one does not have a studio to work in. I have been experimenting with coloured pencils on tinted Strathmore paper.

Friday 29. 08. 14 I haven’t been in the studio for a while as I have been travelling around with the family. I did this one of the view from Agathe’s room which is where I stayed when we visited Marie-Pierre. Tomorrow off to Toronto!

Thursday 07. 08. 14 Just back from 3 days in Paris with Daisy. Very busy. Highlights were an expo of Martial Raysse at the Pompidou and the permanent collection of Aboriginal art at the Musée du Quai Branly. We also managed to finally get to the Père Lachaise cemetery. This is Daisy waiting in the rain outside our hotel yesterday.
