Thursday 06. 07. 12 Just back from a few days in Brittany. Totally different landscape to here, no wines, greener, lusher with skies that change constantly. Cooler light with wonderful clouds – very similar to Ireland. Culturally similar too with the common celtic heritage. Will go back for longer and to do some painting.
So pleased that you got to Brittany and found the experience good, so much so that you want to go back again to paint! Feel quite envious as I felt a strong rapport with the coastline (Finisterre) and so similar to parts of Pembrokeshire but of course it is not just the celtic connection but also the geological one that gave me so much pleasure. Southern Ireland next stop?
