Altered landscapes
Monday 23. 09. 13 This is the second in a new series where I have painted a contemporary landscape over part of an old photo of the same landscape. This is the old station at Clermont which is currently the Gare Routière.
More Wood lake
Wednesday 18. 09. 13 Still working on Wood lake but am also experimenting with the idea of combining old photos and new oils of the same scene today as per above. I like the idea of passing time.

Edinburgh
Wednesday 11. 09. 13 Just back from 4 days in Edinburgh. Went for the Doig show at Scottish National Gallery which was excellent. Edinburgh is an interesting city and very compact so easy to get around. Lots of history and surprisingly lots of contemporary art.

Monday 02. 09. 13 I liked this view of the pool at night. Today started new large canvas of Wood Lake.
More plein air
Sunday 01. 09. 13 Did a couple more small paintings here today. I am finding it difficult to get back into plein air painting again. Lots of decisions!
