A new roundabout

Tuesday 30. 10. 12 Noticed this roundabout between Agde and Grau d’Agde where I was shooting reference photos for the last panel of the scroll yesterday. It is a model of the cathedral at Agde.

Final Allée

Sunday 28. 10. 12 Finished Panel 8 and have drawn in Panel 12 of the maquette today.

Scroll

Saturday 27. 10. 12 I have been working on panel 8 today which is an allée en route to Pezenas from Belarga.

Scroll 7

Tuesday 23. 10. 12 Finished the 7th panel on the scroll. This is the local swimming hole on the Hérault at Belarga.

Black Pig

Sunday 21. 10. 12 I have discovered that what I thought was a sanglier on the roundabout at St André was in fact a black pig. It is the totemic animal of St André as described below:

Scroll panel 7

Thursday 18. 10. 12 Started work on the 7th panel of the scroll today. The Hérault in high summer at Belarga.

Nearly there

Wednesday 17. 10. 12 Worked on the scroll again today and I think that this panel is nearly finished. Also been working on a painting of Istanbul.

Scrolling along

Tuesday 16. 10. 12 I have been working on the 6th panel of the scroll today. Quite complicated with all the road markings and the cars.

Istanbul

Saturday 06. 10. 12 Just back from a 10 day trip with Julia to Istanbul. Wonderful city to visit with not only the European/Asian mix but also the contrasts between old and new as seen in the above photo taken from the tram. Highlights were the Istanbul Museum of Modern Art and and a visit to a Hammam.
