Wednesday 17. 05. 17 I think I have finally found a format for these. I’m going to make an accordion book on Kraft paper with ten different pages for different stages of my life. The page size is 75 x 60 cm so it is quite large. This is the start of the first page when I was about 3 years old.
Monday 24. 04. 17 Did a new chalk drawing for my bedroom today.
Friday 21. 04. 17 Finished this big landscape today 100 x 80 cm which I did with oil pastels on paper. I think I will try some oil pastels for some en plein air landscapes perhaps next week.
Wednesday 12. 04. 17 I have started on a new series of autobiographical self-portraits. None are finished yet and I hope to incorporate words as well in them. They are all quite small 8 x 10s and start when I was 3 years old helping my Dad repair his bicycle.
Saturday 08. 04.17 It was a beautiful day today that I decided to go to the beach at Meze. Once there I thought that I would try and do a sketch using my iPad – not a good idea! I could barely see the image on the screen due to all the reflections. I managed the above but couldn’t add any colour because I couldn’t see the palette. I think I may have to rethink my idea of plein air painting with the iPad.
Friday 07. 04. 17 Still working on this one but have finally finished Remembrance Day 2017.
Monday 03. 04. 17 Continued working on this one.
Sunday 02. 04. 17 Started painting in this one this morning.
Wednesday 29. 03. 17 Had a drive around the lake this morning and noticed several patches of small, yellow wild irises. Started on a new painting Tree Pruning – another sign of Spring.
Friday 24. 03. 17 It has been a damp, grey day here today so decided to get back to Paper and try some more drawing.
