Sunday 21. 08. 16 Back working on the oil again this morning. Just back from a ride around the lake to Lodève where I saw an expo at the Musée de Lodève of Alexandre Hollan’s work. He only paints trees and all from around here. Interesting.

Friday 19. 08. 16 Decided to colour in one of the monoprints using oils.

Thursday 18. 08. 16 Did this small watercolour of George’s vegetable garden whilst I was up at their house looking after Grappa.

Tuesday 16. 08. 16 Did two monoprints today, I coated one plate with detergent and the other with Gum Arabic. This is the best version using Gum Arabic.

Monday 15. 08. 16 Started back on the painting of Les Negociants and also did the base drawing for a monoprint.
I think this is going to be a complicated one!
Wednesday 03. 08. 16 Started a version of this yesterday but scrapped it and started afresh this afternoon. It is Les Négociants café on Market day in August – lots of people!

Tuesday 02. 08.16 I have been back home for a week now. Today I went to the beach at Meze for the first time this year and finished up this Calvaire near Paulhan. I also started a new painting of Les Negociants

Wednesday 20. 07. 16 Did this little sketch of the backgarden at Dagmar with oil pastels. Experimented with using linseed oil as well. Not successfully!!!!
Sunflowers
Monday 18. 07. 16 I bought these sunflowers at the market on Saturday but they haven’t fared very well. I took them out into the garden this morning and did this drawing on the dreaded Yupo, this time with oil pastel. A cheerful drawing to start the week.
Lawren Harris
Saturday 17. 07. 16 Went to the AGO today to the Lawren Harris show curated by Steve Martin of all people. Good show and some interesting early work set in downtown Torionto in the early 1900’s.
