A grand day out

Sunday 12. 11. 11 Finally a day without rain or grey skies. Rode down to Marseillan and Sète this afternoon. Wonderful ride, just swooped down the empty roads enjoying the freedom and the journey. Went  for a walk along the beach besides the foaming sea stirred up by the wind. A grand day out!

A good catch

Wednesday 09. 11. 11 I have already sold La Dourade and La Perche and have somebody looking at more of them on Monday. Check them out in the gallery opposite 30cm x 24cm unique monoprints 100 euros each.

Another day of rain, another painting

Tuesday 08. 11. 11 More rain today so worked happily in the studio. Inked in a plate for a new monoprint and also did this small painting looking in from the stairs to my kitchen.

Rain

Saturday 05. 11. 11 It has rained again most of the day so I have spent it in the studio after going to the supermarket this morning. Above are two of the three completed today.

Waiting

Friday 04. 11. 11 I’m wondering what my next motif will be after I have finished the white van series. In the meantime I am now doing some small more personal paintings.

Updates

Thursday 03. 11. 11 I have updated my White van gallery and have added a new gallery of fish of the Mediterranean monoprints.

London

Tuesday 01. 11. 11 Yesterday started a new white van painting and also did this monoprint of the Thames Barrier. Today did a small portrait of Poppy but scraped it all off as it wasn’t really working. Hopefully better luck tomorrow.

Chalk drawings

Friday 28. 10. 11 I have now done over 30 of these and will be producing of book of them sometime before Christmas.

One more to go

Wednesday 26. 10. 11 Finished this white van this afternoon. It is outside the old Citroen garage in St André de Sangonis. I have just started on what I think is the last in this series – a van in the canal at Clermont!

Catch of the day

Saturday 15. 10. 11 Today I have been experimenting with some small monoprints of fish from the mediterranean. A couple of weeks ago I bought an old book from the French book dealer in the market in which there were some old engravings of fish – these monoprints are the result. I have done four so far and think I will do more and perhaps some in colour.
