Saturday 29. 03. 14 Got back this morning from a week in the UK. Did all the usual galleries plus the Viking show at the British Museum and Treasures at the British Library. Highlights were the Hockney print show at Dulwich and the Richard Hamilton show at the Tate Modern. Both excellent. Other highlights were a visit to Morgan and Oz in Hassocks. Morgan and I hadn’t seen each for ages when we worked together in another life and another country. I also visited Chris and Viv in Hemingstone where I played Newmarket with their grandchildren, Charlotte and Harry, at 8 in the morning before they went off to school!! The above photo shows some bones, a stone and a bit of pottery that I found mudlarking along the Thames just below Tate Modern.

Spring?
Sunday 23. 02. 14 Took a ride to Marseillan this morning and then on to Sète and Meze before coming back to Clermont. I shot a video of the ride but so far have not been able to download it from my iPod. Once I have done that I will put it up on the web. This is a view of Sète from across the étang at Meze. It was a beautiful morning.

Sunday 02. 02. 14 Went to an installation here by Mike Nelson. The main feature was an installation made of of 4 Airstream trailers the oldest of which was made in 1939. I have always wondered what the inside of an Airstream looks like and now I know! It was also Daisy’s birthday today – she was 21.
