Thursday 13. 10. 16 A rather damp day here today – it has been raining since last night, all day and is still raining.

Tuesday 11. 10. 16 Did this oil pastel sketch of Edward’s hand on Sunday. Alas I have had no other photos of hands despite asking about 20 people for them!
Aigues Mortes
Sunday 09. 10. 16 Went with Claire to Aigues Mortes on friday – pleasantly uncrowded and then on to Grau du Roi for a very tasty lunch of Mackeral. This is the church of Notre-Dame-des-Sablons with stained glass windows by Claude Viallat from Nîmes.
Marseille
Thursday 06. 10. 16 Went to Marseille yesterday with Patricia as she had to renew her Swiss passport. Walked all around the MUCEM but didn’t go inside to any of the expos. Also took the Hop on and Off bus up to Notre Dame de la Garde and back. Had a tasty lunch of sardines and generally wandered around. We drove to Montpellier and then took the train to Marseille.

Monday 03. 10. 16 This is the first in yet another new series. Inspired by my visit to Reading Jail I have asked some friends to send photos of their hands so that I can make a portrait of them. These are Jason’s hands on his scooter.

Monday 03. 10. 16 I have started a new painting – La Récréation – a painting in La Vie Quotidienne series showing the Lycée sudents on their morning break outside the boulangerie.
