Sunday 17. 07. 16 Celebrated my birthday early with the family. A brilliant poem read by Poppy and Daisy that reduced me to tears, presents and a great BBQ with a chocolate cake for dessert with 1 candle for each 25 years – it is almost worth being 75!!
Saturday 17. 07. 16 Went to the AGO today to the Lawren Harris show curated by Steve Martin of all people. Good show and some interesting early work set in downtown Torionto in the early 1900’s.
Friday 15. 07. 16 Yesterday Geoff gave me this portrait for my birthday. I had drawn the self-portrait before lunch – I looked much happier after my lunch with Geoff and Sandy!!!!
Tuesday 12. 07. 16 Back from a great weekend chez Martin and Beryl. Much talk, much laughter, lots of books and even a trip to Costco!
Friday 08. 07. 16 This morning went with Jason and Poppy to the Ontario Science Centre and then met Virginia at the Open Art Show at City Hall – rather a disappointing show!

Monday 04. 07. 16 Just back from a warm weekend at Wood lake. Daisy tubing.
Tuesday 28. 06.16 Today I have been experimenting with watercolour and watercolour pencils on mylar and Yupo. So far Yupo seems to work best. The above is a portrait of me and Rob my brother.
Monday 20. 06. 16 On Saturday afternoon we all went to a concert which amongst other things featured Poppy in Silks.
Friday 17. 06. 16 Went down to the new Power Plant building on the lakeshore this afternoon. Currently the site of the Luminato Festival but hopefully will eventually be a new art gallery. Cavernous building about the size of a cathedral but it has a long way to go before it becomes Tate Modern!
