Saturday 12. 11. 16 It has been an odd few days. My laptop went into a deep sleep which left me with only my iPod and then the car has been temperamental, however I seem to be over this phase now and hopefully everything will continue to work. Yesterday went to the annual Remembrance Day ceremony here. Less people than last year.
Tuesday 01. 11. 16 Went to the cemetery today at noon after seeing Paul for coffee and then did this painting of the flower sellers.
Sunday 30. 10. 16 Another hand – this time Louise’s – and in coloured pencil instead of oil pastels.
Wednesday 26. 10. 16 Worked some more on this today.

Monday 24. 10. 16 Jo went on to Marseille yesterday after staying with me for a week so today it was back to the studio with hands. These are Jo’s and Jack and Erich’s.
Friday 14. 10. 16 It has stopped raining but it is a dull day so worked on this one today.
Tuesday 11. 10. 16 Did this oil pastel sketch of Edward’s hand on Sunday. Alas I have had no other photos of hands despite asking about 20 people for them!
Monday 03. 10. 16 This is the first in yet another new series. Inspired by my visit to Reading Jail I have asked some friends to send photos of their hands so that I can make a portrait of them. These are Jason’s hands on his scooter.
Monday 03. 10. 16 I have started a new painting – La Récréation – a painting in La Vie Quotidienne series showing the Lycée sudents on their morning break outside the boulangerie.
