Sunday 13. 09. 20 Last Friday was Yvonne’s last Franglais. She leaves for Spain next weekend along with her husband and their 5 dogs. I wish her well in her new adventure.

Wednesday 09. 09. 20 We had a Franglais pot luck lunch last Friday chez Philippe to mark Yvonne’s departure to a new life in Spain. It is the Vendange so the roads are crowded with tractors loaded with grapes.

Tuesday 08. 09. 20 Finally finished this one today. I seem to have been working on it on and off for ages.

Saturday 05. 09. 20 This is the view of the hills beyond Cabrières

Thursday 03. 09. 20 After yesterday’s experience I decided to go out and paint outside directly. This is an old ruined cabanon about half way between Liauson and Salesc.

Wednesday 02. 09. 20 Decided to paint these fruit this afternoon. It was very satisfying to paint from “life” again instead of photos.

Saturday 29. 08. 20 I have been fiddling around with this one all week. Finally finished it this morning. It is the first one in 3D.

Tuesday 25. 08. 20 Went over to see Jonathan at the Ronzier-Joly care home this morning and to give him some magazines. He was cheerful and in good spirits and asked after everybody. Came home and finished this portrait in oil pastels of my boulanger and his wife.

Friday 21. 08. 20 After hearing the new mayor’s speech yesterday I thought that I would send him my idea of putting posters of local paintings in the empty shop windows to brighten and inform the streets of Clermont. I sent this along to the Mairie and will be interested to see if there is any response.

Sunday 16. 08. 20 Philippe brought back a bottle of Chouchen from his trip back to Brittany and we all enjoyed a taste.
