PontLoRes

Sunday 04. 05. 14 A bright sunny day here today altho a bit cool. Yesterday we celebrated Carole’s 70th birthday chez Jason with an English Tea Party in the afternoon. Dot’s 70th was also celebrated in Plaissan yesterday too and I can now finally show the painting of the Pont du Gard that John commissioned from me

Monday 28. 04. 14 Had lunch today at Les Platanes here in Clermont. The hors d’oeuvre was a poached egg on a bed of mashed peas – very tasty!

Saturday 26. 04. 14 Today I have finally had a chance to work on some monoprints incorporating dried flowers. I’m hopping to do one flower a month depending on which flowers are blooming. This is Broom from a month ago. Tomorrow I’m hoping to pick some poppies which should be dry by the time I get from Australia in June.

Saturday 26. 04. 14 Have finally finished a couple of paintings that I have been working on for ages. Interesting how sometimes a painting needs to be left for a while whilst others can be finished in nearly one session.

Wednesday 23. 04. 14 Did another monoprint of St Gregory’s Hemingstone this morning with a different composition. It has created some confusion for Chris and Viv as to which one to get!

Tuesday 15. 04. 14 This is another that has been hanging around for a while. It is based on a photo I took over in the Corbières when Jason and I went over there in 2010.

Sunday 13. 04. 14 I realise that I have been working on this painting since last May but I think it is finally finished. This morning I took out the posts in the foreground and decided that it needed something else so put in Van Gogh returning from a day’s painting. It seems to work!
